New Member: Dr. Bikash Dangi joins the lab

Welcome to Dr. Bikash Dangi!  Bikash Dangi joined the lab to support ongoing pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic studies. 

He also has extensive experience in LC-MS/MS analytical work and will use this to perform pre-clinical and clinical pharmacokinetic work that is ongoing in our lab. 

He has extensive experience evaluating pharmaceutical agents against human and microbial (e.g. Streptomyces sp W2233-SM and Bacillus sp. PAMC 23377) drug metabolizing enzymes (e.g. Cytochrome P450).

He is familiar with the following techniques/instruments: Protein expression and purification, Drug metabolism & pharmacokinetics, PCR, RT-PCR, qPCR, ELISA, western-blot, immunoprecipitation, Mouse handling, UV-Visible spectroscopy, Fluorescence Spectroscopy, HPLC, FPLC, LC-MS/MS.

About the author

Dr. Johnson received his PharmD and PhD at the University of Wisconsin where he also completed a clinical research fellowship evaluating phytochemicals and botanical extracts. He is an associate professor and licensed pharmacist he offers a unique perspective on the most current scientific literature related to the health and nutrition. His research program is active and has led to more than 50 publications and published abstracts related to the health promoting properties of natural products, phytochemicals and plant extracts. He has presented some of his research findings at international scientific meetings in the US, Italy, Austria, Israel, France, China, Philippines and Turkey.
