The 2019 Natural Products for Cancer Prevention and Therapy (NPCPT) Conference in Turkey

My first opportunity to visit Turkey was in 2015 and most recently I visited Turkey in 2019 to attend a conference on cancer prevention. 

These conferences are a great opportunity to meet and connect with scientists who share similar research interests. 

The conference is the Natural Products for Cancer Prevention and Therapy (NPCPT) drawing investigators primarily from Turkey, Europe and the USA.

This conference was hosted at Ericyes University in Kayseri Turkey.

The presentations spanned a variety of topics from pre-clinical drug discovery to using artificial intelligence for drug discovery to clinical research.

Kayseri is quite close to a well-known tourist site Cappadocia which is famous for its hot air balloons, beautiful landscape, and underground cities.   

About the author

Dr. Johnson received his PharmD and PhD at the University of Wisconsin where he also completed a clinical research fellowship evaluating phytochemicals and botanical extracts. He is an associate professor and licensed pharmacist he offers a unique perspective on the most current scientific literature related to the health and nutrition. His research program is active and has led to more than 50 publications and published abstracts related to the health promoting properties of natural products, phytochemicals and plant extracts. He has presented some of his research findings at international scientific meetings in the US, Italy, Austria, Israel, France, China, Philippines and Turkey.
