Visit to Madonna Medical Center in Kidapawan City Philippines

While in Kidapawan city I visited Madonna Medical Center and had an opportunity to present our research on the mangosteen.

It was a great opportunity to connect with local physicians involved in mangosteen research.

One study that is planned is to evaluate the possibility that mangosteen may provide a benefit to those infected with dengue fever.

Dengue fever is a mosquito borne virus that occurs in tropical and sub-tropical regions.

Any discovery of ways to reduce virus load or improve systems will be a huge improvement for the more than 400 million people infected with dengue each year.

While I was visiting I presented our research on the mangosteen and had a great time afterward hearing about the work being done at the hospital.
